There really isn't a right answer to this question. Everyone has different priorities. A good idea is to start with a list of potential vendors - Wedding Venue, Caterer, Photographer, Videographer, Florist, Cake Baker, Entertainment, Hair and Makeup etc. Identify which vendors are the most important to invest in. And make sure your budget reflects that. If it's important to have both a Wedding Photographer and Videographer capture your day, then you need to know that before you start budgeting for food and flowers. Determine your priorities FIRST. Otherwise you're more likely to invest money in the wrong places, and end up skimping on what's really important to you.
